World Tai Chi & Qigong Day 25 April

Beginning in New Zealand this event spread
time zone by time zone across the globe through 65 countries across 6
continents. The day began with Tony leading the warm up exercises and healing
Qigong. Vicky read the message from the founders of World Tai Chi day. We then
performed the mass Tai Chi 24 Step form followed by the Eight pieces of Brocade
Qigong.
The instructors
then held taster sessions in their various styles. By rotation everyone could
try out Sun Style Tai Chi, Yang Style Long Form (2nd Section), 24
step Tai Chi form, Five Animal Frolics.
Chi Clinic led by
Vicky with Nicola performed the Tai Chi Kung Fu Fan Form and Kai gave a
demonstration ofthe Yang Double edged sword form . Tony also gave a demo of the
self defence applications of the Tai Chi Form aided by James, Paul and Dan.
On the whole it
was a successful day. We packed up at 2pm and had a well deserved coffee and
cakes. The next World Tai Chi Day will be on 30 April 2015 (last Saturday in
April) same time, same place. See you there!

World Tai Chi & Qigong Day 26 April 2014
This annual event took place at Nonsuch
Park, Cheam, Surrey at 10.00 on Saturday 26 April 2014. The morning started
with light rain but by 9.30 the sun was shining. Shui Tai Chi represented by
Pat, Rose, Marisa, John, Chris, Derek , Bill and Kai joined Tony, Vicky and
James from The Chi Clinic and Cheryl and her crew from Hampshire, Leonie and
Irvine from Longfei.

try out Shi Ba Shi Qigong, Yang Style Long Form (1st Section), 24
step Tai Chi form, Eight Pieces of Brocade, Five Animal Frolics.
Cheryl gave a
demonstration of the Chen Broadsword, Kai the Yang Double edged sword form and
Vicky, Tony and Irvine the 32 step straight sword form. Tony also gave a demo
of the self defence techniques.
On the whole it
was a successful day and the weather was fine. The next World Tai Chi Day will
be on 25 April 2015 (last Saturday in April) same time, same place. See you
