Chi Kung

As well as the basic “Form” of Tai Chi, students are taught Chi Kung. These energy building exercises strengthen the immune system, aid digestion and help build all round, good health.

Chi Kung can be broadly divided into two categories:
  • Standing Postures. A number of standing postures are taught. Initially each posture is held in a relaxed state for 2 or 3 minutes. As you grow more used to the posture you build up to maintaining it for 10-15 minutes.
  • Dynamic Chi Kung. This involves a repeated movement, in some instances a set pattern of breathing is linked to the movement.
